What We Offer

At Bastion Reputation we help you be your best on your best day and the best you can be on your worst day. For some, giving evidence at a public hearing inquiry or investigation can be their worst day. Our inquiries and preparation training will help you to put your best foot forward and communicate with confidence, clarity and consistency.

Our inquiries preparation and training is specifically designed for executives, senior managers and anyone who has been called to give evidence. The training is very hands-on and is highly customised for each client. You will learn how to shape your responses in a way that is credible and succinct. You will also learn how to communicate with the right delivery, voice, tone and body language. A key element of the training will be learning how to manage difficult or challenging questions, as well as how to clearly communicate highly complex, technical or sensitive information. The training includes a mix of some theory and plenty of practice.

Our trainers will conduct a series of interviews with you, to put your learning into practice. We also replicate the environment you will be giving evidence in, whether online or in person, to ensure you are familiar with it and can navigate the pitfalls for each situation. We provide immediate feedback to you to help you assess and then build on your performance.

The training can be delivered in person or online. Your safety is paramount and any in-person training will be conducted with strict adherence to the latest public health guidelines.

We offer tailored training sessions for appearances at:

  • Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC)
  • Senate and house estimates hearings
  • Public inquiries
  • Taskforces
  • Investigations
  • Regulatory inquiries
  • Royal commissions
  • Judicial inquiries

Inquiries preparation and training will help:

  • Increase skills and capability – developing the skills you need to communicate with clarity, confidence, credibility and calm
  • Leadership development – leadership is more important than ever and we know that to be a great leader, you need to be a great communicator. Great communication is essential to good performance under pressure.
