Leading corporate affairs agency Bastion Reputation Management (RM) is excited to announce a range of new hires and promotions as the reputation arm of the Bastion Collective continues to adapt to contemporary client needs.

The changes add and elevate experienced talent while also adding new faces to the firm.

Long-serving agency Principal and Campaigns Director, Scott Thompson has moved into the role of Chief Strategy Officer and will lead overall business strategic development alongside Chief Executive Officer, Clare Gleghorn. Thompson will also serve as Gleghorn’s deputy.

Joining the Executive team with Gleghorn and Thompson is Peter Trevaskis who moves into the newly created role of Head of Operations. Building on his broad in-house and agency experience, he will oversee the day-to-day functions of the reputation agency a little more than a year after joining on the eve of the first COVID-19 lockdown.

Rounding out the Executive team is experienced journalist, media executive and communications trainer Michele Fonseca who becomes Head of Capability and Culture where she will continue to oversee the agency’s training and capability arm while also working to ensure RM has an authentic and values-led internal and external culture.

An experienced team of Principal Consultants will lead RM’s specialist practice areas with Bruce Tobin soon joining the agency as the Principal Consultant leading its Risk, Issues, and Crisis division.

Tobin has extensive experience with News Limited and working with ASX-listed companies as a senior advisor to executives and boards on a range of high-profile issues.

He joins the team after an extended secondment at the University of Melbourne and will take over the role from Anna Gillett, who has built and led the division for four years and is returning to Western Australia at the end of May.

RM’s campaign responsibilities are being taken on by the highly-experienced Genine Johnson who joined the agency in late 2019 as a Senior Campaigns Strategist and has been promoted to the role of Principal Consultant – Corporate Positioning and Campaigns.

David McNamara also becomes Principal Consultant – Media Strategy and Content and remains lead media strategist.

Ibrahim Rasheed has been elevated to Trevaskis’ former role of Senior Communications Strategist while RM is adding two new Client Executive staff to its team, with Kaitlyn Blanchard recently joining from Metricon, while Bodil Droga joins from Spaceship Capital and starts in late-May.
